Mirror Mirror on the Wall

“Mirror mirror on the wall who’s the fairest of them all?”
Said snowhite’s stepmother, the Queen, the most evil one of all.
The mirror said,
“Your highness, I think you are mistaken,
asking me the wrong question.
We no longer are in the medieval period,
This is the 21st century, the modern period.
The world has changed a lot
since we last talked.”
The Queen said with a tone that was bitter, “Tell me about it mirror.”
“I will gladly your Highness”,said the mirror
“Women have different roles now.”
She said exhilarated with an uplifted brow,
“Yes I know all mirror,
You see I am clever,
it’s cooking
And cleaning
And looking
the fairest of them all.”
Mirror said, “Yes your highness you are not wrong.
they do cooking,
And cleaning.
they live to make lives,
Not someone’s trophy wives.
And being fair is nothing to do with this at all.
In fact, it is rare to want to be the fairest of them all.
They climb mountains,
Their clothes with bloodstains.
They protect their nation,
Make Applications.
Fly high,
Only limit is the sky.
They write,
They know how to fight for their rights.
They sing,
Their love is bigger than any bling.
Their strength is unbeatable,
They are undefeatable.
They are resourceful,
Their mind is powerful.
They can solve your problems,
The true gems.
They don’t need a knight in shining armor,
They have a sisterhood more stronger.
Their skin color,
Is not the most important factor,
that define their ambitions,
In their minds, they all have well defined missions.
They know white, black, peach, brown can be used to make a good painting,
But more than that they are nothin’,
True beauty reflects from within.
Each women I have known is a genius,
An incarnation of Venus.
So how do I answer your question of who is the fairest one of all?”
“Mirror mirror on the wall, I think I was wrong all along,
You have opened my eyes,
You’ve shown me the right light.”
said the Queen with soft look on her face.
“It is time for a change.
I will always respect them,
when I meet them
now I know they all are special
they all are real beautiful.”

And that’s how Snow White never got poisoned by another strong female. Instead, her stepmother gave her a call and asked for forgiveness for trying to murder her and asking the huntsman to bring her lungs and liver as proof of her death. She also sent Snow(No longer Snow White ) to school and college so that she can pursue whatever dream she has. –Apoorva Jindal
