Let them
Trust me, it isn’t selfish
It means you put faith in you

Appreciate your self first
If people call you out
Let them
Trust me, it isn’t narcissism
It means you have awareness of your worth

Fall for your self first
If people call you out
Turn away
They don’t deserve you anyway
Trust me, it is the best love story you will ever live
It means you are capable to fall for others

Laugh at your self first
I know
People will stare
Trust me, you aren’t insane
It means you have self acceptance

Take care of yourself first
And when you come first
You will eventually end up
Looking out for your loved ones
Who truly are there for you
And you for them.

P.S. Writing this poem was cathartic and probably for the first time I have written for the readers. Because, whatever I have written with similar themes was more like self talk and this isn’t because it has been a while since I learned these. Though, I need a self reminder now and then.
